Hey,
Tuesday at 1:30am my house burnt down destroying my system obviously. Insurance covers it all but it has to be similar in features. I had Marantz 8801 and and XPA5 gen2, outlaw 7100. Amps are easy enough to figure out but what current Marantz pre would have similar features and sound quality?

Sorry to hear about your house, hopefully things come back into place in reasonable time.

Thanks, insurance guy figures a year for them to rebuild my house and I get to move back in. Gives me a year to ponder what new stereo to get. I see emotiva has a new set of speakers but the reviews are saying spend the couple extra bucks and get Elac UF5's. Wish I could hear them both instead of buying them blind off the internet.

Emotiva does have a 30 day trial return policy where you would have to pay return shipping, you could always order both pairs and return the ones you didn't like, would be the best way to compare in your own home, would cost a bit for the return shipping but what better way to find out which ones you prefer so long as you could get the same trial on the Elac's. Just a thought of course and like you mentioned you have some time to research and ponder Chad
