XMC-1 playing test tones kills all sound

Whenever I run try run test tones, either directly on the XMC-1 or through Dirac, the test tones do not play, and if I quit back to regular use after trying the test tones I get no sound from any sources until I fully power off/on the XMC-1. After that I am fine again until I try run a test tone.

I have updated to latest firmware and tried with nothing but the speakers plugged in, same thing happens.

Any ideas?

Hello,

perhaps:
- to loud test tones > protection mode of your AMP
- trigger to the AMPS ? Are your amps on ?
- if you are playing the testtone with dirac, is the display showing up "testtone"

I only get a muted XMC-1 after leaving dirac, but changing the input brings back the sound.

This is too weird,
I have not looked at that part of the configuration menu in a long time, but I recall several parameters that raise/lower the test tone volume.
The HDMI output config. may also play a role. I'll play with it and report back, soon I hope.
