Sounds cool, but outside of eARC and the upgraded HDMI version what are the real audio benefits.

Exactly..... other than a logo, and one more license you can buy, I can't seem to figure out exactly what it IS or what it DOES.
The most specific details I can find so far are "bright sharp pictures", "4k UHD", and "DTS sound"... and none of those is exactly new and different. (So far, the biggest piece of information I can find is that, whatever it is, it's NOT Dolby. ) Sounds cool, but outside of eARC and the upgraded HDMI version what are the real audio benefits.

They did state it would have a variant of DTS:X though. What that means I’d assume would be channel count but we’ll see. I thought Keith would know.
