I finally figured out how to enable WIN10 for ATMOS. So WIndows 10 Netflicks (the app - not Netflicks in a browser) and Microsoft "Films & TV" app now play Atmos. But fixing Win10 broke my favourite viewer, VLC, so it can't play Atmos any more, just Dolby 7.1 - Nothing it try in VLC settings fixes it.
1) Can anyone tell me how to fix VLC?
2) Can anyone recommend a player that works with Atmos in Win10?
Sincerely /b

Sincerely /b Use Lav Nightly filters and madvr for video up conversion if you like. I use MPC-HC or jRiver for movies. You can find a guide for how to use Lav and Madvr with MPC, VLC, etc. This will allow you to bitstream or decode each codec and send it out via HDMI. You may also need to install the Dolby Atmos app from the Windows Store. Not entirely sure if that is necessary.
