Nice! Did you purchase the C7P, 2017 model or the C8P 2018 model. I'm about to pull the trigger on the C8P. 2018 model - OLED65C8P

So after ordering some winter tires and rims and finding out those rims would not fit my truck I went with another rim and then found out they were on backorder I was upgraded to a much more expensive rim at no cost to me. Looks as though I will be installing some Fuel Vector 17x8.5 7mm offset wheels in Bronze with some Falken Wildpeak tires in a 265 70R17 LT. Anyone in Canada looking for a great deal on a tire rim setup I got them at partsengine.ca just a great company with great customer service.

The biggest issue is when changing up the offset from what your factory wheel has, my factory 18's have a +24mm offset, my current summer wheels are a 0mm offset which very very slightly rubs my mudflaps when turning, some go with really wide tires and negative offsets and then have to actually trim plastic and/or metal in their fenders which is getting ridiculous haha. My summer wheels with a 0mm offset give it about an inch wider on each side giving it a nicer looking stance especially with my factory towing mirrors being wider, looks really cool from the front Chad

sonicTransporter i5 (w/ 1TB SSD), Ultrarendu & 7v power supply. I've been curious how much this will improve the SQ when I already like what I hear. 30 days to return it no questions asked so if it doesn't blow my skirt up it goes back. Should be interesting.

Ive heard good things about Onkyo's newer auto room correction....please report back your findings! Will do. I currently have just my 2 Stealth 8s to hook up to it. I liked that this has preouts and speaker taps for all the channels it supports. I am thinking I will eventually use my Stealth 8s in a 5.0 or 5.1 setup. The two monitors already create more than enough shake in my small space, so I'm not sure I will want/need a dedicated sub. I'm thinking I'll use a C2 for my center, but I'm not sure if I want to use T2s up front with Stealth 8s for rears or use Stealth 8s for front and rears.

I think they had a mix of Stealth 8's and 6's around the room, and at least 2 subs. Packed a punch! Mark

I took a ride to Connecticut and scored a pair of AR10pi MkII (rare) and the Holy Grail of speakers the AR9. Just what I needed to expand my AR collection, The 10pi are nearly perfect. View Attachment View AttachmentLove those Teledyne AR9s ,they were my 1st true high end speaker after spending decades with horn loaded Klipsch & JBLs , they very much remind me of McIntosh XRT-18 line arrays with the way they have pin point imaging ,I traded mine in for a pair of JBL-L250s along with the matching sub & crossover and ended up doing a lateral move instead of an upgrade ,aside from sounding spectacular the design is one of the sexiest speaker designs of all time .

Those JBLs are a great model but totally different sounding bass from the ARs I've restored the 10Pi speakers and use them exclusively with a tube amp and mostly just vinyl. Wonderful sound! About to get going on the 9's

SCAM alert ,I won't mention names to avoid breaking any forum rules but I must inform anybody looking to buy a used McIntosh C-2200 tube preamp that I've just been scammed out of $3,250 plus shipping on eBay ,I agreed on a price of $3,250 for the C-2200 with boxes and remote ,I used PayPal with my credit card ,I selected the insane 2nd day air shipping costs and paid the nearly 5,000 feedback seller a total of $3,500 ,he sent me a message saying payment came through in full , SUCCESS !!! ,another of my favorite McIntosh pieces & prolly the best sounding tube preamp of all time scored at $500 less than resale value that I can give to my eldest son for Christmas since he's been drooling over my C-2200 since I made him crawl behind my 5 channel stereo rack to hook up the preamps XLRs a decade ago , WRONG !!!!
I get out of bed & notice the exact same C-2200 preamp listed on Audiogon for $3,500 & now I'm wondering WTF ,I email the seller asking WTF is up & he tells me that eBay told him to keep the preamp and keep my money , 1st thing I did was to contact Audiogon to send them proof that I had bought & paid for the exact preamp ,as expected Agon staff pulled his Ad down immediatly , I messaged him through Audiogon & his exact response was meant for Agon staff to read ,here it is " Your a Scammer ,Leave me alone and do not contact me again here ,our beef is eBay " ,being I've bought & sold just over 200 pieces of McIntosh & Krell on Audiogon over the last 18 years Agon staff sided with me & took his ass down .
I filed an eBay complaint showing them proof that seller was attempting to sell the same McIntosh C-2200 twice & he even had it relisted on eBay as well ,eBay yanked down his ads and be refused to answer the 3 phone calls from Ann @ebay so eBay sided with me ,I filed a PayPal dispute and as soon as they read the sellers response to me claiming eBay told him to keep my $3,500 and for him to not ship me the preamp the staff at PayPal immediatly awarded me a full refund to my credit card .
The seller is a knowledgeable scammer who sells & repairs all makes of tube gear ,he listed the C-2200 low enough where it was a good deal where a reseller could make $500 to $800 flipping the preamp on Audiogon, but not oriced to low to set off alarm bells ,I won't give the sellers name as it might be against forum rules but I will say this ,the McIntosh C-2200 is pictured sitting in a faux cherry wood rack with the pictures looking down on the preamp ,he posts pics of the preamp still in it's rack and his last 4,000 plus feedbacks are for selling components like Xformers ,Capacitors ,tubes and tube sockets etc .
I'm not giving names as it could be seen as slander ,I am warning potential McIntosh buyers to stay away from that C-2200 shown sitting on a cherry rack,it's a scam and while you will get your $ back via PayPal not everybody can afford to have thousands tied up for a month awaiting PayPal to put the charge back on their credit card ,it's Christmas guys & the scammers are a plenty ,it's hard to pull 1 over on this old coot who's been trading McIntosh since Audiogon was a newsletter but even I got got so be careful .
