So I live along St. Mary's River that feeds the potomac and then the Chesakeape bay. When Ernesto came through I had a lot of tree damage but this storm looks to be much worse. I was wait listed at Lowes for a generator that was supposed to come in today and I decided to go their early this morning just in case. Really glad I did.. There were 142 persons on the wait list for 100 generators so Lowes decided no wait list....first come first served. I got one. This can run my computers, refrigerator, and some lights no sweat. I also bought a siphon in case I run out of fuel from my gas cans. Loaded up on watermelons and nuts. Our area was out of power for 2 plus weeks during Isabelle and power outage is my big fear. My other fear is the sailboat and the storm surge. It is too far and too late to get it to a marina but I did wait list and may make a run tomorrow morning. The Kayak dock will probably get damaged as well as the pier. Kind of stressing on this one! Our prayers for all of you located up the eastern seaboard. It's just passing me off Jacksonville, FL but I'm 60 miles inland and all we are getting is some medium winds.

I just ordered a set of Metzeler Sportec M5 Interact tires for my RC51. They're supposed to be really good in the wet, last pretty long and have enough grip for fast paced rides.
I really thought my Michelin 2CT's would get me through the season, but I've ridden pretty hard on some wicked roads this year.

I use it to poke only and no smudging that I've noticed.

My wife and I just ordered this camera: I sure hope this isn't a wasted purchase as I'm known to buy cameras/camcorders and not use them much. Hoping this will also double as my HD camcorder. I really want to get into this stuff.

If you don't have the passion in you, and don't take the time to explore it, then it's like a multi-million dollar sound system without music to play on it! ...Or a Lamborghini that stays in the garage. You've gotta have it in you first! And if you do, you're out there and experimenting. No time for questions, just aim and shoot. Then, for more technical stuff, you go directly to Photography Forums.

I really want to get into this stuff. I'm thinking of getting the Nex 7. I have an a850 but would like to get something that would fit in my purse for everyday use. I'm waiting to see if they come out with the rumored screw drive lens focusing adapter for alpha lenses. I've got two very good screw drive lenses.

I really want to get into this stuff. Should be a sweet new toy. Just like Audio, if you take the time to do some reading and experimenting you could have a lot of fun with it. If not, you'll have a nice camera when you need it.
