I could care less if there are fans in the stands. In Wisconsin, we have Bob Uecker as the play by play guy for the Brewers. More entertaining than the game itself!

Look at some of the other sports that have started or are going to start -
NWSL - Orlando Pride - The team pulled out of contention after six of the franchise's players and four of its staff members tested positive for COVID-19.
MLS - Major League Soccer announced Monday that FC Dallas have been withdrawn from the MLS is Back Tournament due to 10 of the club's players and one member of their technical staff testing positive for COVID-19. Another game postponed - The league confirmed that five Nashville players had tested positive for COVID-19 since arriving in Orlando on July 3, two at the weekend and three more on Monday night. Four more Nashville players are currently awaiting further testing after receiving inconclusive test results.

More like "Just a little bit outside" "This guy threw at his own kid in a father-son game." Get up! Get up! Get outa here... Gone! Its like getting a little slice of Major League every broadcast (especially if its a run away game. Uecker barely has time to call the pitches because he is constantly ad libing)

I'm going to have to search for an internet feed of Brewers games if Bob is channeling his Harry Doyle.

MLB and college football would be nice diversions from the reality of the world situation today but realistically, I don't think it will happen or matter if it does happen. I mean how many games can they play and with everything going on the way it is, it could just be more temptations for who knows what. Just seems that there are too many "important" things and issues to deal with other than baseball, as much as I would love to have it back. We are living in crazy times!!

Many of the top players are refusing to play for the fear of getting Covid19 and taking it home to there families. Why rush this, look what is happening to all the people who haven't paid attention to social distancing.

Many of the top players are refusing to play for the fear of getting Covid19 and taking it home to there families. Why rush this, look what is happening to all the people who haven't paid attention to social distancing. Well it's not quite as simple as that. Let's take David Price for example as he is not playing for COVID reasons. He has a 7 year 217M contract that pays him 32M a year with three years remaining. Now this year if he plays he only gets prorated pay of about $11,5M and then he has two more years at 32M. Now since he has chosen to skip his contract basically freezes and he will make 32M in 2021,2022, and now 2023. So he will make about 20.5M more by skipping this season. If he were to reach FA in 2023 he likely would make far less than 32M if he was to even be signed at all. So sometimes even though guys say they are skipping due to health concerns, the real reason are deeper than that.
