Who knows...personally, I doubt it. I do love my little Emotiva computer speakers, though. On today's podcast, they did say they have a lot of things coming after the first of the year, but I doubt powered monitors will be part of the plan. A total guess on my part.

I've got a pair of Airmotiv 6 monitors I could part with if the price were right.

If you need them now check out the used market sure. There a number of good powered monitors today. Saturated with many pairs to choose from. No idea when Emotiva will bring some for us. If you need now new look around for like Adam and JBL and whole bunch of made in China good ones. Yeah they sound good. Fluance I think is another. The powered monitor for the desk is easy. I use Elac Debut 6.2 and a Crown XLS-1002 amp with an Anthem AVM-30 front end. I have an SVS PB-1000 Sub for the bottom end. If you can get a set of Airmotiv 6s they are cool too. Look for a Subwoofer for the rich bottom stuff though as most monitors won't give that to you by themselves.

Well... Compared to KEF's LXS at $1,250, they are a steal.

I've got two pair of Stealth 8s. No sense in having one pair sit unused. If you're still in the market for a quality monitor, the 8 is hard to beat.

The Stealth 8's are great, but way too big for my application (desktop). I ended up going with Vanatoo T0's, which from a size standpoint are perfect. They sound really good too.

If I had a college student staying in a dorm? THESE would be perfect. Even the smaller, less expensive model.....they'd stay with you for years and if you ended up with a computer room, they'd stay there....while something more ambitious would go in the 'media room'.....
Braun started this, as near as I know, back in the 70s with the LV1020.....A 3-way active speaker. 55 watts bass.....30 watts MID and 15 for the tweeter.
they were $$$ at the time, quite the cost and I could not afford 'em, but remember to this day simply being gobsmacked at the sound...
