Bit the bullet and traded in my NAD M17v2 to give the RMC-1 a shot. Out of the box everything was great. The normal slowness in response that has been noted was present but not a deal breaker. Fast forward two days...listening to music...sound goes out. Checked other sources, nothing. Went into the menu to check settings...now its extremely slow and sometimes unresponsive entirely.Remote wouldn't let me turn the unit off so I used the front button. Goes into standby. Switch it back on, takes forever to come back to life, still no audio. Backup settings and factory reset. Boots up, yay! Back to life. 30 minutes later, audio gone again. Can't get it back, not even the pink noise for the levels can be heard. Manual reset via back switch, its back. Minutes later, gone again. I should've known if anyone was gonna have issues, it'd be me.

You'll get good help in the owner's thread: RMC-1/RMC-1L/XMC-2 Owners Thread (Post Firmware v1.10)
Please provide some details about "what" isn't happening while your "speaker config" is set to which " audio mode" via which "connection type". There is one thing I can mention here about the slowness. When a source is paused, for some reason the Menu operates extremely slowly. This isn't the only reason for slow operation which can occur under other circumstances, but this one is repeatable 100% of the time.

Update:
Factory reset...changed nothing. Reloaded 2.1 firmware...constantly hung up and would never finish so I did some research on the different firmware releases and (since I was not overly pleased with Dirac on the NAD) decided to load 1.9. Loaded 1.9. Factory reset. So far the issue seems to have been eliminated. Time will tell.

If you do, you could try 2.1 again without this plugged in to see if that is the issue. There is some info floating around that something on the network side is causing some of the slowdowns and such.
