hello,
is it possible to avoid having to use a minidsp 2x4 crossover for driving my front speakers JBL XLPL 200 (4 elements) with the following filters: Low-pass: "L-R 12", fc=303Hz EQ: -1.9dB, Q=0.5, fc=303Hz
High-pass: "Butt 12", fc=352Hz EQ: -0.5dB, Q=0.71, fc=352Hz
I think that today, i'm having too many gears leading to complexity and lost of quality: Rpi4->SMSL SU8->XMC1->MiniDSP->power amp->woofer & subwoofer ->power amp->mid & high

It’s designed for subwoofers, not really for bi-amping.

Sure as Hell sounds like you’re suffering from a massive case of over redundancy. Why? i'm using my system for video & audio. and my speakers, if you know them, required to be bi-amplified, so it leads to such gears, but i'm still looking for simplifying the whole system but still the best of it.

Those speakers do not 'require" biamping, but IIRC they can be biamped when using an outboard Xover. They contain an internal passive Xover that should allow you to power from a single amp. The miniDSP will likely be the weak link in your audio chain sonically (assuming you are not listening to MP3 or some other low-quality source.)

Yea I remember hearing them 25 or so years ago. Do what you like, but they do not require bi-amping.
