Does anyone have a working solution for Alexa voice control of the XMC-2?
In particular Power ON/OFF, Source Selection and Volume.

If you add a Logitech Harmony remote with Hub and link the Harmony skill to the Alexa, you will be able to do voice control. |

If you add a Logitech Harmony remote with Hub and link the Harmony skill to the Alexa, you will be able to do voice control. +1 It takes a bit of setting up to create and link all the activities, but I use Harmony and Alexa combined too. I call through from the kitchen while I make tea and by the time I get to the living room, the correct sources and components are powered up and ready and set to the correct inputs Alexa: "Turn Everything off" "Turn the PC on" (my living room HTPC media server) "Turn the Blu-ray on" "Turn the TV on" "Listen to music" - XMC-2 and PC come on but not the TV (I control the media server (JRiver) via iPad) The most time consuming part is programming each activity into Harmony and then it is easy to get Alexa to change activities. |
