Hey! I have an XMC-1 that I bought in 2014. Now the sound from the digital box via XMC-1 to my TV does not work. Only after restarting the XMC-1 does the sound work. Could there be a problem with the HDMI card? Once the sound works, a loud beep is heard when I change the TV channel.

Check the box and swap the HDMI cable? Do you own the box?

Yes I own the box. And the HDMI-cable is ok.

All other sources ok? Can you try with another box? Sound after restarting doesn’t necessarily mean processor problem (although it certainly could be.)

Okay, so I've gotta ask the obvious... what is " the box"...? Who makes it...? What's the model number...? Did it work correctly with your XMC-1 before...? If yes, did "the box" recently receive a firmware update (some of those "boxes" - like TiVo - automatically get updates " pushed" to them whether you want them or not)...? A bit more info might lead to a quicker and better answer from someone who might know exactly what the problem is...

If somethings up, I would really like to know. And....is this a unit with an updated board.....

The digital TV box (satellite) is a OnePlace from Swedish Canal Digital. Firmware is updated regularly but my problem has been around for a long time.
