I’m looking for in-depth information using user manual speaker equalisation settings. When I go to subwoofer it shows...
width Q frequency Etc
I'm after more information about the width and frequency? Is frequency the cutoff of the crossover?
Width? Can width be widened or shortened?
I understand Q etc...

Frequency = the center frequency of the adjustment envelope (the frequency at the peak of the envelope) Width (or bandwidth) = the frequency range affected +/-3db from the peak Q = the slope of the adjustment envelope (related to bandwidth, but the two can be adjusted separately in many systems.) Boost or cut = the amount of change being introduced at the peak In a non-parametric EQ, "Band" = fixed frequency + width, and Q is fixed.

If you are going this route, I strongly recommend you use REW. Mark Or a similar tool. Or just let your processor do it's thing (Dirac or the like)

But, if someone wants to mess with Q and Bond and all that...REW or a similar tool. Mark
