Hello,
I recently installed firmware 2.1 and had no issues. I wanted to install 2.2 so I formatted the usb stick with FAT32 and copy/pasted the 2.2 file directly into the drive. I unplugged all hdmi and inserted the usb stick, went to setup and the device doesn't recognize it, it just says 'no usb stick'. I tried another usb stick and same issue.
Anyone have any other suggestions? Not sure why it won't update this time.
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I do not, two haven't worked so I'm assuming it's the pre-pro?

Thanks for the reply. I do not, two haven't worked so I'm assuming it's the pre-pro? Buy the smallest Sandisk stick you can find. Never format it. Make certain there is only the update file on the stick before inserting into the processor, no other files or folders. Copy the file to the stick, update the firmware, delete the files (an extra file is created during the process) from the stick and "empty the trash" so the stick is empty for next time. I use one stick just for firmware updates. Copy, update, delete, trash. The processor is particular about "how" the format is done, settings used. I think it was Keith who mentioned some format settings to look out for in the Owner's thread should someone want to format, but I don't recommend it when a stock Sandisk does the job so well for $5.49.

This hasn't changed in the last eight years, which is why I never format.

I've bypassed it completely just so she can watch TV without it having a lockup or audio loss. I still like to try for movies and 7.1.6 Atmos tho. I hope V2.3 FW will be out soon and fix this thing. Maybe I'll go back to my XMC-1's and 7.1 if they really cant get it together and save up for an Acurus Muse.
