Very interesting. Disappointed that according to the specs only the more expensive UBR-X200 supports SACDs. The extra $900 seems like it would be wasted if using a processor with quality DACs, such as the Emotiva G3Ps. So, not truly "universal" for the UBR-100...

Nice find. However no hdr10+ and hlg support. Looks like no hdmi 2.1 support either

So....
I took delivery of the X-100 two weeks ago. It's a bit of a disaster TBH.
First, the unit IS capable of playing SACDs. Currently, if you insert an SMH single layer SACD it will output native DSD via HDMI without any issues. So the drive is SACD compliant. However, if you insert a Hybrid SACD (which accounts for 95% of them), the player converts the signal to PCM. So it still plays the CD files only when given a choice between the DSD files and the CD files. I've pointed this out to the manufacturer who is looking into it.
Worse though, the HDMI handshake is incompatible with Emotiva processors. So, you can see the startup splash screen for about two seconds before the screen goes black. Setting the resolution to 1080p does not help. Both Emotiva and Reavon are looking at this.
So, for now, I have a black box with zero functionality sitting on my shelf awaiting a firmware update.... but wait. They sent me one to Bet Test and.... it failed to load. The player does not see the files whether the USB drive is formatted ExFAT or FAT32.
Have to say, the experience thus far has been, well, non-existent from an audio or visual perspective.

Apparently there has been a new firmware released, v02.11, have you loaded it yet. www.reavon.com/support

Yes. sadly this firmware update addresses none of the core issues. I still can't get an image from the player unless I use a direct connection to my projector. No SACD playback support.
The Emotiva has several HDMI handshake and delay issues. Switching between inputs is slow, the image is delayed. Even starting a show on Netflix, where the resolution or sound encoding changes, precipitates a 2-3 second delay in the video signal.
I really like Emotiva products though they are not without their foibles. I'm hoping over time these issues will be fixed, though I think a faster and more powerful processor might be the only solution.
So, for now, I still have an inoperable black box in my rack incapable of playing anything other than CDs and single layer SACDs. Bummer.

It looks like the 200 is going to receive firmwares before the 100 . File playback for 4k is a plus over my pana 820 youtu.be/tmwVT0-P-wk

As I've posted in a related thread herein this forum, from my (well understood) understanding, the reavon players (all models) do NOT play gapless. In my book this disqualifies it as an audiophile grade component. I'm in communication with reavon execs, so this this could change...but as of now, extensive "gar-bage"

Thought I'd post an update...
Reavon is developing their product on the right trajectory. Recent firmware updates have sorted out a few minor issues but overall the players seems to be working well. I started out with the X-100. I have an X-200 now. I use it as my SACD transport for multichannel, using the balanced analogue output for SACD stereo and to play BluRay/DVD content.
Curious. is anyone else on here using the Reavon too?
