I recently received a pair of KEF LS50 Metas from my wife for my birthday. The only problem is that I need a new AMP to drive them. I recently bought a BasX PT1 as my new PHONO Pre amp and love it, so would something like the BasX A2 stereo amp be a good pairing for the KEF LS50s? I know the original LS50's you seemed to need some serious hardware to get the most out of them so would the BasX A2 be enough? Any input is great! Thank you!

KEF LS50 Metas are 85db sensitive (8 ohm) with 100 watts max power rating. A2 is 165 watts into 8 ohms and will have no issue, but will blow them if driven hard. Get a subwoofer and don't over drive the LS50, they are good bookshelf speakers, not towers.

Okay cool, I do not listen very loud (Sub 80db) and already have a subwoofer. Thank you for the input
