Just for the hell of I checked my levels on my XMC 2 with the umik 1 and REW and when I got to the sub channels there was no sound. There is sound when Dirac sends it’s tones. Is this a known bug? All the other channels matched pretty close less than a db or so. Only when I put the tones on high could I barely notice them coming from the subs.

If REW is providing the tones, how is REW connected to the system? Are you using a PC or Mac with REW? This will tell us which of us can help. I'm a Mac guy these days and just use a HDMI cable from a Mac mini to the XMC-2. Easy peasy. edit: I re-read your post. So you're using the XMC-2 Levels Tones, right? And using REW's SPL meter? I use this all the time. Be careful using the High Levels setting as you might get "surprised" all of a sudden. Low sub output with a Dirac filter might mean that Dirac measured something and brought the levels of other things down to match it. Check the measured channels in Dirac, and better yet, try and post some screenshots please.

Yes I was using the xmc built in tones and just using rew as a meter. Oh now that I rethink it the built in tones are affected by dirac correct? That makes a bit more sense except for why they are so low. However on music or movies all sounds good so its a bit confusing. Maybe something was odd in the cal that I ran in this new place we moved to. I’m going to do another one. I was thinking of trying those storm audio room curves?

The Official Dirac Live Thread: Start w/1,2,3 🙋♂️You should familiarize yourself with the Dirac thread above, especially the first few posts with lots of info. Dirac will "normalize" other channels down to meet the one that needs the most help. This is a very simplistic way of describing it. But the fact is that after Dirac has done "it's thing", the output will usually be lower than when not using a Dirac filter, and might be -6dB lower overall and maybe lower depending on what it thinks is going on.

Update: Feeling that something was way off I did a factory reset and ran a new dirac run. Now the tones from the subs are as you would expect. Must have been a glitch.
