Hi all, just got a new RMC-1L, looking forward to getting set up in a couple of weeks, but I was wondering do you still set up the levels with an external SPL meter or will the mic that comes with it work somehow? Also do you do these things as one normally does, set levels and distances and then run Dirac or does Dirac handle all of this?
Also lastly does anyone recall the setting/weight to use on the SPL meter, I forget its been so long since I used it.
Thanks! -Jim

Any levels you set beforehand will be ADDED to Dirac's resulting filter in the speaker preset. To check and fine tune levels after running Dirac set them all to zero in the settings then adjust from there. You can also set them all to zero before running Dirac. You should only have to make small adjustments to get them all reading the same level at the main listening position. There is nothing you can do to adjust distances in a Dirac preset.

As you can see from my picture, the roof became distorted as a result of the room correction. We now have to look out for falling clay roof shingles. (No problem really….we just use the back door!)

He was just making a light hearted joke. 405x5 was referring to "room" correction as in the rooms in his house are distorted and he wasn't having much luck with the "room" correction. Just a little fun is all.

Im sorry- I figured I just didn’t get it. OK, got it now. I was concerned as he mentioned hoping I had better luck or something than he had, so I was concerned that there are some glitches to know about.
