I am having an issue with My TV ringing (buzzing) at certain frequencies while playing music. The TV I have is a LG OLED65C1AUB TV and it has just the actual screen without the typical plastic back covering. I suspect the amount of panel that is unsupported by any back structure is allowing the panel to vibrate with an added nasty sound. My question is has anyone else ran into this and how did they remedy it? I have thought about putting some self adhesive dampening material that I have directly to the back of my television screen but I'm concerned about the fact that it may lead to damage of the deposited OLED layer as it looks to be deposited right to the back of the screen. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Are you using the sound built into the display?

Often those noises are actually coming from the support structure for the monitor, and not the monitor itself. First thing to do is play your music or any source that best makes the noise and let it run while you get near and figure it out. Just a touch here and there usually will tell the story. The monitor back screws may be unevenly tightened, or loose. I had finishing chrome rings that came with my HT Monitor support that I had to ditch in order to take care of the same problem....that cured mine!

I am using my built in speakers with video (for now) but I get this with just my music with my TV off. I have just been using my ears for the noise location but will investigate further using 405x5"s suggestions. I will report back soon as I can get home and spin up some music.

Sounds like the source you are sending through the screen is too loud and/or has too much bass for the speakers. By the way, do NOT adhere anything to the OLED screen, either on the front or the back, unless ytou want to severely shorten the lifespan.

Thanks Dyohn, I suspected it would not go well if I put something on the back of the OLED screen so thanks for confirming this. I have my speakers set up on wall brackets so that could be contributing to the vibration noise. This is not coming from the speakers themselves as it happens at just barely moderate levels on the same songs while other music doesn't trigger the noise.

Ok, quick update.
I think I may be on the right track with solving my TV buzzing problem. I discovered that putting some of my (Black Hole like dampening material) on the TV mount itself seemed to help out a little. Will have to wait for that project till this weekend so wish me happy bad sound hunting.
