I hooked up two front speakers, sub. and my two channel amp.. The first time I turn on the processor it recognized Fire stick. I wanted to see if I was on course? I turned it off and a couple of minutes later turn ing back on loading going on non stop now. My next step will be to unplug. Not sure I am in a download up date but dought it. Emotiva not responding due to a new corncerns they are having. I do not think I need to hook up BASX 7 to run the two front channels? Guessing I never got in the batters box of set up before this happened? I received my amp. and processor yesterday . I did not see a thread on this challenge.

If you are talking about the new BasX-MC1 processor, then there is no network connection, so you can't be in a firmware update download. No connection to the internet. All firmware updates are done using USB.
What did the front panel say when you turned it on? "Loading" should appear for only a second or so, then "Boot" will appear for a few seconds and the it will try to connect to whichever HDMI input you have it set for. Try unplugging the unit from the power. Wait 15-20 second then plug back in. See if it boots properly with Fire stick plugged in. If not, turn the MC1 off, unplug the Fire stick and then turn on the processor. See if it boots up properly without the Fire stick. If it boots up properly without the Fire stick but not with the fire stick, then the problem is most likely with the Fire stick. Try a different source, like a blu Ray player or anything else with HDMI output. This unit IS slow doing HDMI handshakes when changing inputs.
