Hi, I have a 3 channel power amp and only using the right and left with my PT-1 2.1 channel preamp for music listening. My question is can I connect my subwoofer to the unused center channel instead of the sub out from the pre-amp?
Just curious if that could be done and how would it sound.
Thanks, Gene

according to the Emotiva product page, the Bas-X PT-1 is designed for stereo + subwoofer. It is not a "center channel." It only has a fixed 90Hz crossover but that should be fine for most applications. Use the "mono" LP (low-pass) output. So, assuming your subwoofer is powered, the answer is yes.

Hi, “and how would it sound.” Thanks, Gene That depends on how far you reach with or without and if you’re listening to material with lows like organ pedal tones and such. After I did this I found myself revisiting many recordings to hear stuff I never heard before. (what a treat that was)
