So I sold all my home theater stuff and down sized to a descent 2 channel setup with a subwoofer. I kept the MC-700 and have just been using it in stereo mode paired with an XPA-2. Curious if the new PT-1 would be an upgrade for 2 channel only or the MC-700 is about the same sound quality? My only source is a Audioengine B1 Bluetooth wireless adapter. Thanks for any help

I have no direct experience with either, but I dare say that the nature of Bluetooth is such that it would probably mask any significant difference between the two.
Just my humble opinion.

I have not had any reliability problems with my PT-1.

Thanks for the replies. I bet the new PT1 is a very nice unit indeed and for my use the MC-700 has treated me well reliably for 5.1 and now a dedicated 2.1 music only via bluetooth device from my phone or tablet. It sounds great but seems like way more home theater processing power than I need just for stereo, and just trying to simplify.
