When I plug in my XMC-2 into my pc to use for USB audio, it registers as an RMC-1. Is this normal behavior? v2.5 firmware is installed. Brand new, originally had v2.4.

I'm just guessing, and maybe somebody with better knowledge can answer, but it could just be that there is no way to tell the units apart because of the identical platform, or maybe they just haven't programmed it to do so. The RMC-1 was the first of these units and hence it would make sense to use that name.

It would be nice if USB would use the “Friendly Name” identifier from the network settings, this would let you make it anything you want. I’ve never tried to change it, and doubt it work for USB, but you can change it in the Setup Preferences.
