Hello all,
I have a UMC-200 and have started the process of upgrading a couple things in my home audio collection. The next thing I was going to do was remove my current tv to the bed room and switch to a projector that can do everything well. I'm looking at the Benq X300I 4k Xgimi horizon Pro or Benq X1300i 1080p.
I know that the UMC-200 does not support 4k, but if I were to continue to use my 1080p Roku stick and PS3 running though the UMC-200 to a 4K projector, would this have any issues running through the UMC-200?
With the UMC-200 still working, I don't want to spend on a total upgrade for my home audio system immediately (PS5, Roku 4K, New 4K Prepro), but want to be looking forward to moving to 4k eventually.
Thank you
Scott

did I post this in the wrong section or should I just play it safe and go with a 1080p projector?

Hey Scott,
It should work fine but you of course will only have 1080p as the UMC-200 will not pass 4K signals through it. I'm still a 5 speaker 1080p guy myself, my 100" AT screen is still fantastic looking, I actually purchased a 4K Epson on Amazon and sent it back as to me it was horrid and I don't have thousands of dollars to spend on a projector so my HC3500 is still kicking ass, I will prob never own a nice 4K projector, I just don't have that type of disposable income anymore haha.
