I have a music player (Raspberry Pi running Volumio) that when you hook it up to a DAC will show that DAC as one of the available outputs. Normally it would just show the headphone jack, and the HDMI cable. Thing is, when I hook it up via the USB to the USB input on my XMC-2, it does not recognize the XMC-2 as providing a DAC. I am reasonably sure I selected the USB input prior to connecting Volumio, but would that have been necessary? Shouldn't the XMC-2 show the DAC as always available on that input?
It works fine on the HDMI input, sure, but that means I can't choose a different video and audio connection... if I can use the USB input, it means I can watch videos (perhaps with captioning on) on one XMC input, while listening to my streamer off the USB input. I have done this in the past on my XMC-1 where my Apple Mac Mini fed the XMC-1.

When I use the USB port my Mac sees the DAC/processor as ‘RMC-1’ I believe. Of course it has to be on, it’s not identified in LPS.
