Hello there, Could anyone please let me know how to solve the problem: XMC-2 is not responding (neither buttons on the front panel nor its remote)? I tried XMC-2 reboot, nothing happens. Many thanks in advance.

Hello there, Could anyone please let me know how to solve the problem: XMC-2 is not responding (neither buttons on the front panel nor its remote)? I tried XMC-2 reboot, nothing happens. Many thanks in advance. View AttachmentThere are typically two ways to get out of an unresponsive situation. 1) Hold the power button for 6 seconds and the unit should shutdown, then return to 'standby', 2) Turn off the switch on the rear panel, that will totally remove power from the unit, leave it off for at least 1 minute before turning it back on. I typically start with 1) and then when the unit is back in standby do 2) as well. The rear power switch will typically solve the widest array of issues.

Thank you for your prompt and detailed response. I have tried it all, nothing changes. After switching on I see “Emotiva” and the line below which becomes longer (like loading process). Then it stucks. Neither its remote nor its front panel buttons change the situation.
Completely unexpected problem…

Disconnect all HDMI cables from the XMC-2, then repeat the process AudioHTIT recommended. If the XMC-2 is hanging at the point shown in the photo for more than about 5 minutes, and nothing works, call Emotiva support. edit: Also, don't use a remote control, but instead use the front panel buttons for performing the six second shutdown.

That happened to my RMC-1L and it needed a new board and the 2.5 firmware to go with it

This is when having a warranty is nice, sorry about the issue though as it's never fun having audio gear out for a fix.

Just checked with Emotiva support. It’s a warranty case. However, I need to send it at my cost and I should use an original packaging (which I do not have already and need to wait and pay for it).

Always keep the boxes if possible. You can store them flat underneath your couches and chairs.

Yes you can store the boxes flat under something but don't forget the foam inserts have to go somewhere too. You don't want to lose those as those isolate your gear from shock from the monkeys who ship your stuff.

Thank you all! In result, I had sent XMC-2 to the official service center in Denmark. They changed the ECC board and sent XMC-2 to me back. Well, I have just revealed that there is no audio while I am streaming from AppleTV to TV (via XMC-2, which is Standby), the video signal is OK. According to the manual, both audio and video should be streamed if the "Video remains OK" is chosen. Fabric reset does not help.
I wonder if anyone is familiar with the problem? If yes, can it be solved at home? Or should I address the problem (and XMC-2) to the service center again?
Thank you.

Unplug the power for the processor and all other HDMI components and unplug HDMI cables. Wait about 5 minutes or more. Plug in HDMI cables for just tv and ATV. Boot up processor, then tv, then Apple TV. Report back as to changes or no changes.

ttocsThank you much! I have done as you suggested. Now it is working. I have a guess, I used HDMI 1 previously, it might be the root of the problem. P.S. Is there the easierst way to upload my old Dirac settings to XMC-2? Thank you much again!

Make sure the processor and ENDIB (the little network interface box) are on the same network as your computer. Enable Dirac on the XMC then start the Dirac program. You should be able to load a previously saved Dirac project and then send it to the processor. You can also make changes to the filters if desired before uploading to the XMC.

Could anyone write, what is the voltage of Emotiva ECB-1 (splitter, which came with XMC-2 for Dirac Live setup)? I can not find the original power source and try to find another one.
