I've posted a dozen or so on eBay, and not a single one has even been looked at by a potential buyer. My prices are a lot below Amazon's and a bit below other used discs on eBay, but no interest! I realize that most people are moving away from CDs, but there must be SOME market left - I just don't know where to find it.

CD’s are also listed for sale there but I’ve never purchased CD’s from there. discogs lists LP’s, CD’s cassettes and 8 tracks as well as reel-to-reel. Good Luck

Ironically (to me anyway) there are plenty of places that will pay cash for used vinyl!

I realize that most people are moving away from CDs, but there must be SOME market left - I just don't know where to find it. I've purchased multiple used CDs from Discogs, a few from Amazon, a few from thrift shops and my preference is Discogs because, once I'm logged on, I can choose among formats, condition and prices. Merchants receive ratings from customers and vice-versa and the merchant photos and descriptions of items have been, in my experience, accurate. Also, provenance of some CDs are listed, when multiple copies are available, which I find useful. Shipping costs can be prohibitive though, especially globally, but deals(?) can be negotiated with some sellers when buying two or more items from them. Hope this is helpful, -Blevins🙉👴

Many of the discs I have are rare, on boutique labels, or are collectable. There's no sense in giving them away as bulk. Those who buy bulk CDs want the absolute minimum price per disc so they can profit on resale. Sounds to me like Discogs may be the right venue for me.
Thanks - Boom

I'll look it over. If Discogs' seller fees aren't excessive, I'm in!

Discogs is PROFOUNDLY pissing me off - It won't let me log in, and there's no way to contact them for help. I have an account there. I can enter my user name, and it won't recognize any of my passwords. It will let me change passwords, and I've done so several times, but then it won't take the new passwords either.
I gave up and decided to re-register with a new account. I changed the user-name, but then Discogs won't let me re-register because my email address is already taken.
I tried to use their forum for help, but you can't post there until you're already logged in.
Looking at the home page, there doesn't seem to be any way to contact discogs for help.
Ideas?

I'm inclined to agree that Discogs is a good choice.
I've both sold and bought a LOT of stuff on eBay... And, in all fairness, I've been mostly pleased with the results of both. (Out of many hundreds of transactions I can only remember two or three that I consider problematic.)
HOWEVER... here is the single most important bit of advice I can give you about selling on eBay. IT ONLY MAKES SENSE TO SELL SOMETHING ON EBAY IF IT IS SOMETHING THAT SOMEONE CAN AND WILL LOOK UP SPECIFICALLY *BY NAME OR UNIQUE DESCRIPTION*.
There are a truly amazing number and variety of things for sale on eBay. This means that, in a given category, there may literally be thousands, or even tens of thousands, of whatever we're talking about. So, for example, do a search on "stereo amplifiers" or "CDs" and you will get an endless list of responses. And, because of this, it is almost impossible to find a specific item that way by "browsing". (Imagine a section of a store with ten square blocks of racks of CDs.)
For example, I just did a search on eBay for "Dark Side of the Moon" - and got 13,000+ hits. And, if I narrow that to "Dark Side of the Moon CD" - I still get 795 hits. Obviously, if I was looking to purchase a copy of that CD, I would have a lot to sort through... And, if I was hoping to sell one, odds are against the next person who looks seeing mine... But, when I search "Dark Side of the Moon Mobile Fidelity" - I only get 18 hits... So it would make perfect sense to hope to buy or sell one of those specifically...
So, if you've got a CD that someone can and will be likely to search for by a specific identity, then eBay is your best bet. (But do make sure to put all of the relevant identifying details in the listing title.) But otherwise it's pretty much a lost cause.
The same is true for equipment... If you're selling a specific model, or even a relatively uncommon brand, of product, then eBay is an excellent choice. But not if you're selling something that's so common that there are millions of them out there... And also not if you're selling something that's so uncommon that nobody would ever search for it by name...
It's also worth mentioning that most eBay listings are time limited... Whereas Discogs listings run pretty much forever... If I'm looking for something REALLY rare, I'll try eBay and Amazon first, then I'm probably going to simply Google it... And this means that, if it's the sort of thing with very little supply or demand, I'm more likely to find a Discogs listing (because it's there longer). However, to be fair, from my experience, I still find far more things I'm looking for on eBay than on Discogs... (I've never sold on Discogs so I have no idea what their listing fees or conditions are.)

Welcome to 2022. If you go to this page: support.discogs.com/hc/en-usWay down on the bottom right there is a button labelled "Help"... It appears to open a chat box. Other than that it appears that they expect you to wade through the "community help". Odds are that you have a very old account that has gotten corrupted in some past software update. There are also options like "Submit a Request" under "Account Suspended" that supposedly are reviewed by humans. Also, according to Google, their e-mail is: help@discogs.com That would probably get you some sort of reply eventually. Discogs is PROFOUNDLY pissing me off - It won't let me log in, and there's no way to contact them for help. I have an account there.
