When trading used components for new, what value should I expect for my trade? I have new, unused T1+ speakers, in box, that I purchased last year. Now I want the new T3+’s

You would have to call in and have sales look that up... which they will be happy to do. However, to be quite candid, you're NOT going to get back most of what you paid. (That's only going to happen in very special cases where some sort of promotion is involved.) If you have used gear, with the original boxes, in "like new" condition, you will probably get more for it by selling it on the used market. The 'worth' of something is mainly determined by the BUYER who has decided on a budget. So that 800$ (or whatever) pair of speakers may only be worth 200$.......while worth far more to YOU.
Special case gear does exist. Original Advent Large may still get a good price IF in good shape......And if you own a pair of Magnepan Tympani from t very EARLY on? These can be restored and DO have value to fans of the type. A couple other speaekrs still retain value.....Maybe KLH9.....an origianl Electrostat type?
Unopened bxes MAY have retained a good deal of value......Recently (like last year) somebody advertised for sale a BRAND NEW IN BOX Dynaco St-70 amplifier kit. Havent' sold THESE in 40 years....but you woulnd't belive the ask......And you can still get NEW kits from others with some improvements......The VTA version is available and features several useful improvements......Tubes are available as part of the deal.
