Hi all, I have just purchased an XPA-3 Gen 3 and a BasX-6 to run my current setup with an Arcam AVR10 Receiver. My speakers are as follows: LR: Klipsch RP6000F - 125RMS 500Peak - 8ohms - 97dB @ 2.83V / 1m C: Klipsch RP450C - 150RMS 600Peak - 8ohms - 97dB @ 2.83V / 1m SLR: Klipsch RP600M - 100RMS 400Peak - 8ohms - 97dB @ 2.83V / 1m SBLR: Klipsch R41SA - 50RMS 100Peak - 8ohms - not specified Ceiling: B&W CCM362 - 80RMS - 8ohms - 89dB The XPA-3 will run LCR The BasX-6 will run SLR + 4x Ceilings The Arcam AVR10 will run the SBLR My question is that based on Audio Science Review’s testing, there is concern that the input sensitivity of the Arcam AVR10 might not match the amplifiers well. The XPA-3 as mentioned in the review has an input sensitivity of 1.5V and the best performance is supposedly achieved at 0.9V. Input Sensitivity (for rated power; 8 Ohm load): 1.5 V. www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/arcam-avr10-review.13671/ Now, reading some other forums and posts I believe there’s a lot more that goes into this such as gain, Dbfs, speaker sensitivity and multiple other factors that, I’ll be honest, I don’t really understand. So my question is will this Arcam AVR10 be okay to run these speakers on the pre-amps with the XPA-3 Gen 3 and the BasX-6, or is it time for an upgrade?
