I’ve been a PayPal user for over a decade, both buying and selling. Recently my past few transactions where I was the seller, PayPal is holding my funds. I’ve provided the UPS tracking numbers and all other required details. With these recent transactions many days have passed after items were confirmed delivered by UPS, and yet PP with that information are still holding MY funds. I called PP finally today and after a less than pleasant conversation MY money was released. Anyone else having this type of an issue using PP? Is Venmo a better option? Or perhaps another service? I’m done with PP and their algorithms somehow assuming I’m a risk. 😳🖕🏼🤬

Have never ran into this issue myself and use it quite often. No idea why this would happen. Have also used Venmo as well but far less, however understand PayPal owns Venmo. The advantage of Venmo is at least thus far you are not charged a 3.5+% fee as with PP. Good luck finding an alternative.

The sad thing is, the PP guy looking into my history using them said he sees NO reported issues/problems…….it’s their algorithms putting me on a “list”……he’s thinking its because I don’t sell in a higher volume? This just made me even more irate.

That being said, I stopped using PayPal once eBay started their own payment system as PayPal has all sorts of conditions, holds and such. Outside of eBay I've been using Venmo and Zelle... I prefer Zelle as it's available instantly in my account.

For my part I’ve been using them for 20 years now MORE than ever.

But when I as the seller provide PP the information they ask for, tracking numbers etc….and THEY know the items have arrived to the buyer, why should it take a week or more for the funds to given to ME? And that’s only because I called and questioned PP……who knows when they would’ve released it. That’s my main *bleep*.

Nope……although NY is getting much closer to acting like North Korea or China.
