Hilarious. Actually most of that shown is from Variacs. Totally cool video. I had a “short” issue involving a stereo preamp and high powered mono amps back in the eighties. A catastrophe for a few of the woofers this video reminds me of….(it was BAD)! |

A catastrophe for a few of the woofers this video reminds me of….(it was BAD)! My favorite about toasty woofers was when someone connected 12 volts DC 20 amps to our woofer car display board. I am glad it was a cheap woofer. But my oh my that was funny. Woofer flambe'. Of course no one was hurt. It was again hilarious. My Manager chewed me out because I thought it was so funny. I looked like a wounded puppy after he was done doing that. Later we were having dinner, and he admitted that woofer on fire was hilarious. Interestingly we stopped carrying that woofer anyway. Too many defects. |
