Trying to find a way to have Bass Shakers, which are connected to one of the sub outputs on the XMC-2, to still be active when listening to headphones. I have dual RS-11 subs on another sub out.

I have witnessed only one preamp that allows for subwoofer to be active when using headphones. Since seeing it, I've wondered this same question, how can subwoofers be active while using headphones on other preamps and processors? This is the preamp: LTA Z10E ELECTROSTATIC HEADPHONE AMP / INTEGRATED AMP $6950. It was quite an experience with Audeze CRBN ELECTROSTATIC headphones!  |

Yikes! That is more than I want to pay.  Our bass shakers add significantly to our viewing/listening enjoyment. Wish I could use them with headphones, it would greatly enhance the experience. They are run off a small dedicated amplifier, that has a crossover. So, maybe it could be connected to a pre-amp out, but there would be no bass management, and I have no idea if the included crossover is very good, it is a cheap amp but does the job. Currently, they are adjusted to perfectly compliment the dual RS-11 subs. |
