Hi all,
I'm thinking through how I might set up a system that can do both HT and hifi in my current listening room. Is it possible, when using an HT source with multiple channels, to have the front left and right signals pass through an Emotiva processor essentially fully balanced and untouched from the source, and have it then go into an XDA-3 for DA conversion, and out to monoblocks, and then to the L/R speakers, while the rest of the surround system is handled and amplified by the main HT processor?
For stereo, I would just switch to direct playback through a streamer connected to the XDA-3 via USB or whatever. This way, I could always have the front speakers, which are by far higher quality than the balance of the surround system, run in full differential and connected to their monoblocks, and I wouldn't ever have to switch cables around during playback.
So for all of you who know these systems - how would you set this up?
Thanks!

I know you can do this with the PT2 because it has an HT bypass feature but not sure how you would do it with the XDA-3.
