Good afternoon, everyone. Has Emotiva has ever thought about, or mentioned, the possibility of making in-wall or in-ceiling speakers? I'm in the process of building a new house, and most of the rooms will be pre-wired for speakers, and I'd love to put more Emotiva products in.... Thanks, Ryan

That is a pretty saturated market. Much of in wall/ceiling speakers are from installers with an established relationship with speaker (and amp, etc) makers.

Not to mention that most in wall speakers are crap compared to a stand alone unit.

Not to mention that most in wall speakers are crap compared to a stand alone unit. Understood, though there are some pretty high-end in-wall and in-ceiling units. I'm not trying to replace the speakers in my home theater. What I would like, though, are some high-quality in-ceiling speakers for my multi-room audio system that doesn't break the bank, and in-ceiling is the only option for places like the kitchen, master bedroom, patio, etc.

Check Monoprice for bang/buck inwalls. I haven't ordered them yet, but the reviews are good. They would suit a surround speaker or background music application easily.
I haven't listened to alot of inwalls lately, but I think a good installation and adding some sound damping material behind them would make all the difference.
