What is anyone's thoughts on 6.2 L/R and 6.3 center? Ever heard these together? And for HT of course I'll be running ERDs in the rear.

I'm sure it would rock and be cheaper than 3 x 6.3s.

Running off of UPA-7, What are your folks thoughts on 6.2LR and 6.3C over all 6.3's. Is it worth the extra money to go with all 6.3s? I have a small to medium sized room. Im 80%/20% - HT/2 channel usage. Or would 6.2LR and 6.3C suffice.

3 6.2's in my opinion. Keep all the speakers across the front sound stage the same. The 6.2's rock.

I have 6.2's for LR mains, 6.3 for Center and ERD's for surround powered by an XPA-5. I have a large room (14x22 family room which opens to kitchen 15x30) and it gets louder than anyone could ever need! Incredibly clean sounding. In hindsight, I think the 6.3 was a little over kill. A 3rd 6.2 for half the cost of the 6.3 would have been fine. The 6.2's are very impressive speakers!

SteveB Thanks for your input, Im leaning towards that! BTW, how does 2channel sound on those 6.2s?

I use a sub with 2channel and it sounds spectacular! I replaced a pair of Boston Acoustics VR3 tower speakers with the 6.2's and can't believe the improvement in sound quality! They have a very smooth high end and nice full midrange. You really do need a sub for bass though. I am extremely pleased with my amp and speaker setup. Next I'm replacing my Yamaha receiver with a UMC-1.

I have had my 6.2's for a week now.VERY NICE! They are powered by a DMR-1 ERD'S in the rear. My biggest problem is how to position the center 6.2 in a way that it is less obtrusive. I will probably build a shelf and mount it above the TV.

SteveB, how do you like the 6.2LR and 6.3C for HT use? Do the 6.2 and 6.3 match/balance well for HT during movies? I'm really stoke to hear 6.2s sound really nice with a sub for 2channel.I cant wait.

Oh yea! The 6.2's and 6.3 center match perfect. Except for the 2 4" mid drivers in 6.3 the rest of the drivers are the same in both speakers. The switches on the back aren't a joke either. They really do change the sound of the speakers so you can "adjust" them to your liking. I have mine set to the reference settings and like that. However, if I'm listening to really loud rock music, the highs can get a little to much so I flip the tweeter switch on the back of the 6.2's and they tame right down. I really can't say enough about these speakers. They truely are hidden jems! This home theater set up absolutely kicks ass!! I have never been happy with any center channel speakers before. They all sounded tinny and like people where talking into tin cans. It drove me crazy. The 6.3 makes people sound like there in your living room right in front of you. I can't possibly see you being disappointed. IF by some chance you are, you get 30 days to decide and send them back. I originally bought a pair of ERM-1's for the LR's and didn't love them. They just sounded like something was missing. I called Emotiva for an RMA # and sent them back. No questions asked. I then ordered the 6.2's and absolutely love them. I had actually bought the 6.3 for my center channel before I bought the 6.2's. I used the 6.3 for about 4 months with my tower speakers. I loved it, but couldn't afford to get 2 more for the L and R. That's why I went with the 6.2's.

Thanks SteveB, I am thinking 6.3C and 6.2LR will be great, especially for my room and needs. I just cant justify me spending the extra cash on 6.3s for LR.

I have 2 Diana Krall SACDs I listen to through my OPPO BDP-83 and they sound unbelievable! Multi channel music with 6.2's LR, 6.3 C and ERD-1's surround is awesome! I love these speakers! They may look plain to some people, but they look pretty elegant in my family room. Plus, they really do disappear in a darkened room for HT. I went to a high end audio store near my house and listened to a bunch of speakers. You can't touch the sound quality of these EMO speakers for anywhere near the price they sell for.
