Does anyone know how the bannana plugs attach to the speaker wire in the Ultra kits? Are they crimp on, soldered etc. Has anyone bought the kits yet? If so, do you like them?

Set screws, 2 in each plug.

I bought 4 kits. They are screws. Just an FYI, the upper screws are buried in a bit deep and pop out from the inside, so before you go mental, look inside the tiny thing first and be sure you don't lose it in the carpet.
My 4 year old son and i went Tooooo Town on putting these things together. Very easy but with stripping wires, sticking the wires through the sleeves, screwing it all together and then joy (to him anyway) of using a heat gun. Man, I tell you, he had his "Handy Manny" tool kit, safety glasses (Gotta wear your safety glasses - Dad), his musical Handy Manny toolbox and #1 pop, he was in fix-it heaven. He walked around the house showing mom, his Uncle, and my friends what he had built for an hour. SuperBowl Sunday ya know.
If that ain't a resounding review, I don't know what is. I really like this inexpensive kit, by the way. As I have said, cheap jewelry for the system. Works with the XPA-1s as well. So go ahead, buy a $10 kit and throw in a $1,000 monoblock for the fun of it.
It's all good.....
