I want the option of silver front panels. Surely that wouldn't be difficult (or expensive) to offer?
All my other gear is silver, and I find it easier to find the buttons on silver stuff (not that you often need to ). I'm sure this has been raised before. Maybe it's that most people want black so they dropped silver if they ever did it.

I gave up on most of my silver gear this year, as I too was a silver front panel lover.Heck I might be the only person with a silver Onkyo 886 preamp with silk screen 886 on the front panel, but it will be going on sale soon.
What gets me is when I've made rants about a certain component not coming in silver I heard it all on another site..Like there's no point in getting a component in silver, that it would reflect light in a dark environment, blah, blah,blah and other members would claim color didn't matter?!?!? Yeah , it doesn't matter until that gear only came in silver, all of a sudden color mattered..Lol.
It would be nice to have a choice even if we had to pay a little more for the silver panel..

A lot of the Emo gear uses the same size chasis and front panel so they can mas produce them and keep costs down. |
