Over the weekend I had ATT come out and swap out my DVR with an upgraded model (vip1216 -> vip1225). They said that Motorola had fixed an HDMI issue with it, which I don't see.
I'm still losing audio after FF or pause when connected to the UMC. I know it's been reported and the firmware is supposedly fixing it, but I just wanted to post that it's still happening with a different DVR.
I did have it hooked up via optical before the swap and I never lost audio once btw. I'm probably going to go back to that simply because I'm tired of swapping inputs to watch TV normally.

If there aren't any dropouts via optical, then that's not a bad idea to use that. Even through the HDMI the audio is still only regular Dolby Digital. I think I'll try that out myself.
