Lonnie,
Thanks for the update on the UMC-1 status page (regarding the next FW update). Two questions:
1) You did not mention the 2-channel vs. 7-channel situation. Any update on that? Per the other thread, some want 2-channel, some want 7-, some want either option (including me...). Any change in the status w/the latest firmware and if not...will an "either/or" option be provided later?
2) You did not mention the resolution of the UMC/USP remote interference. Prior communications indicated that this would be resolved w/the next firmware update & via a new remote for UMC/UPS users. Is this included in next updates or not, and if not...when do you expect it will be resolved?
Many thanks for your hard work on the UMC-1 and it's updates.
Best regards,
Mark

• Digital PLL has been opened up.
What does that mean? Is it related to the stereo mode digital glitches some were seeing with 44.1 kHz material?

Thanks Lonnie for the update Could you please confirm when you wrote: • PLIIx re-instated upon stream changes has been corrected. • DTS bug in Cirrus code corrected. If these two points fix the Issue with 7.1 setup speakers when we lost the Back surround speaker in PLIIx and DTS ES

Thx Lonnie, For sharing you info re accomplishments in making the UMC-1 the best it can be for us. I do have one question though. I had not seen any mention to the Dish to UMC-1 handshaking issue. This is a big one to attack. I would like to know if this new update will also embrace this need as well. I had not seen anything in its regard while perusing your recent list of firmware successs.
Peace, and thank you for your sincere committment in these efforts.

No mention also of the zone 2 analog audio dropouts with low level signals.

Looks like this next firmware isn't going to help everyone.

He did say "more to come".

He also said this: To the best of our knowledge all known and verified issues have been taken care of, even a couple that weren’t faults of the UMC but limitations of other gear that we found a solution for.
So it seems these other problems need to be verified and confirmed before they can take care of it.

I agree regulator, Emotiva either missed several items clearly stated in the forums as having been "reported" to Emotiva OR Emotiva DOES NOT BELIEVE the users are having these issues OR Emotiva is blaming these issues with "other mfgs" which they deny ever saying. Sheesh... who knows? ?

Curious: When is the upgraded remote coming? What does it look like? How much will it cost? Thanks.

I'm thinking the zone two problem may be a derivative of something else, so hoping the next update will iron out a lot of these glitches, whether specifically mentioned or not. I'm also a bit anxious to get my USP-1 back into the system when the remote codes are sorted out. Hope I wasn't adding to the angst. I'm still betting that Emo will come through with flying colors. If you look at my sig, you'll see evidence of that confidence...
Must say that movie performance with the new codecs via the UMC-1 is superb!
