input setup

been browsing the UMC manual in anticipation of mine being sent and have a quick setup question. not sure if this is even doable. i like to watch tv with the sound off and listen to music, especially when watching sports. so under input setup i would select , lets say, 7.1 audio from my oppo. for video i would select HDMI. the problem is i have 2 different HDMI sources inputing video doing this - my cable box (the one i want to watch/select) and the oppo carrrying the OSD over HDMI to show the track listings for the SACD i would be listening to (the one i don't want to watch/select). how does this/will this work?

BTW if my example is confusing, what i'm trying to simply ask is this: if you have to HDMI sources active and select HDMI under input setup, how do you tell it which one? the manual gives no indication that you can say HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc. but maybe you can?

You select "HDMI 1" , "HDMI 2" ETC. You can then select the audio source independently. You would have to set up a separate input with the audio coming from the 7.1 and the video from the HDMI.
