Hi Guys,
I bought a XPA-5 the other day, and I am going to make the interconnect cable for it. I found some Ultralink component cable laying around, can I use this as a stereo cable to go between the amp and the pre/pro? Will it have and issues with the sound?
Thanks.

Use an Emotiva cable if you can but if there isn't anything that meets your requirements ----- If a person want's, or needs, to make their own cable the following link contains a calculator that helps put some of the specs into real world perspevtive. There is a lot of very fine wire out there for .50 - .90 / ft that is more that adeqate and will work great - even for very long runs. www.sengpielaudio.com/calculator-cable.htmHers is some sample info courtesy of my Bewnchmark manual. Balanced Output Drive Capability: (this assumes a 32pf cable) Attenuator Output Maximum Loss in dB Source Impedance Cable (ft) loss at 20 kHz 60 680 0.1 425 96 0.1 135 302 0.1 43 949 0.1 Unbalanced Output Drive Capability: Output Maximum Loss in dB Impedance Cable (ft) loss at 20 kHz 30 1360 0.1 Possible RCA plug to use - looks nice to me www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=092-114
