This would apply to everyone, but if you own the LPA/LMC combo, I especially need your opinion.
What volume do you normally listen to (what number?), mainly if your listening at reference, what do you have the LMC-1 at?

I have a LMC-1/LPA-1 combo and i usually listen at 44. I'm at 10 ft from the tv. I have some Monitor Audio RS6, RSLCR and BRFX speakers and a Paradigm Seismic 12 subwoofer. My source is a Oppo BD-83 and the tv is a Pioneer PDP-5020FD. That's about it, i patiently wait for the XMC-1 to come out!

I have ERM-1/ ERD speakers with my LPA LMC combo in a pretty small room except that one side is open to the rest of the house. In other words we are close to the speakers but the room volume is large. We watch movies at 50 usually. I watched Star Trek the other night at 56 or something higher than usual. I would say that 50 puts it a little quieter than a theater usually is or maybe about the same. It is hard to tell since the space is so different. I agree more with the other guys if I am listening to music (40-45).

I have ELT Towers and I listen with the volume set to 40. If no one is home I crank it to about 50. This is loud enough for me.

Different sources give me different listening levels.
TV, stereo - 30-35 TV, 5.1 - 40-45 DVD, Blu-Ray - 45-50.

I've got Rocket 750s and usually mid-40's is the most I'll go, above 50 is pretty darn loud.

Wow, I'm beginning to wonder if some of you might start to need hearing aids at a younger age. When my volume starts approaching 40, it's pretty darn loud, right around 30 is normal listening for cable TV and right around 35 for movies. Now that I think of it, I have an XPA-5 driving my speakers and not the LPA-1. So maybe the hearing aid crack wasn't necessary at all. ;D

I have both the LMC-1/LPA-1 combo and I will go as high as 55 for movies but usually 45-50 depending on the mix of each individual DVD. Some DVD's are mixed louder than others. My biggest difference in sound comes from my HSU VTF-2 MK2 that can push the db's up to 110db during action scenes.
For music 50-55
