All - I have been getting an turn-off thump with my HDMI sources. Interestingly this does not seem to happen on my component/coax sources. It seems to be sending a full-volume "thump" to my speakers, lasting 1/2 second or so, scaring the pants off everyone in the family. My amp is an Outlaw 750, using a mono trigger cable with the appropriate trigger output turned on in the UMC-1. I can only assume that the outlaws and emos don't play well in the sandbox together... I'be been having this problem for several weeks, on both the original firmware and the first update. One thing that I notice, is that the trigger for the amp does not turn off until the UMC-1 has gone through it's shutdown procedure (after the flashing orange/blue ring, etc.). Does this make sense, or should it shut down the amp first thing? I'm thinking if the amp were allowed to shut down first, it has a gradual decrease in volume until it is turned off, then any remaining signal coming from the UMC-1 would be after it had shut down. Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this? Thanks, Jeff

I have a 3 chanel Amp that was exibiting the same behavior when the 12 volt signal from the processor terminated. The amp needed to be turned off before the processor. In my case we were able to use the trigger to send an "activate" signal to the amps power button. The amps standby light remains on, power is still available to the amp. I don't know if this makes sense, but it is designed to have power even when switched off. I think I will get a harmony that can send an IR signal to a remote switched outlet powering a wall wart. I would then set up a sequence that shuts down the amp before the UMC-1.
It is possible that a part in the amp needs replacing.
