Hello, I just went through my first firmware update (02/08/10 update) for my UMC-1 and I wanted to note that the included v3.1 USBXpress driver does not work on my Windows 7 Professional x64 installation. The driver is unsigned, which requires a reboot using F8 to disable unsigned drivers to even attempt the install. During the install, I had to force it to complete by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL on my keyboard. Once I finally got the driver to load it told me that files were missing or the driver was corrupt. I ended up going to the Silicon Labs website and downloading the USBXpress development kit, which comes with the v3.2 driver. www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Pages/USBXpress.aspxUnlike the v3.1 driver, the v3.2 driver installed without a hitch (even with driver signing enabled) and I was finally able to update the firmware on my UMC-1. Could the newer v3.2 driver please be included with future firmware updates? Thanks!

It's a shame the search feature here is pretty much useless. This was all covered when the firmware was first released. I even tried to reverse-engineer the install package and add this driver to it, but the program used to build the package was a templated program, and without the original template, I couldn't figure out where it was dumping certain files and which DLL's it was registering. I guess I could have spent months and months on the project, but it wasn't worth it at a certain point.

I figured this had long since been covered, but as you said the search is pretty worthless. I found no results to help me along and had to figure it out for myself.
Thanks for the reply.

I agree, proboards search functions are really poor compared to other forum software.

I finally got the upgrade to take but now when I cut the umc off and back on it keeps says loading the dsp. See my response to your post in the firmware thread. It sounds like you didn't give it time to properly load. Check the PDF. You may have to perform the flash again.
