umc-1 sub out---xpa2---sub

Can i hook up an xpa2 directly to the sub out of the umc1 and let it power my passive subwoofers ?
It might be a stupid question , but ill ask ayway i just wondered if the umc1 would take care of all the crossover stuff and sub level ?
My head says it would be ok , but please enlighten me
