Notwithstanding the fact that the updated firmware boxes are slated to ship in another couple of weeks, I decided that I can update the firmware when it comes out just like all the other firmware that I have been updating for the past many years.
So I paid for a UMC-1 to be shipped tomorrow (I was on the waiting list).

Sorry if it looked like I wandered into an empty slot. I was on the waiting list and had a delivery date of last month when the firmware issue came up. I was going to wait for the new firmware to be loaded by Emo and then decided that there isn't really any compelling reason to wait any longer. |

Same conclusion I came to as well. This way when the new software does come out, I won't have wait for the shipping.

I just listed my Yamaha on eBay. Now I have to buy the UMC-1 when my turn comes up. I did get an emai from Emotiva a few weeks ago so hopefully it won't be long now till mine is ready to ship.

It really is a bargain at $700. |

Did exactly the same thing. mine was supposed to ship last week, yesterday I said "te hell with waiting anymore" and paid. Now it's on it's way. should be here in time for the firmware update.

Mine showed up this morning here at work. I purchased from a forum member here who I assume decided to go a different direction. Hopefully I won't be disappointed but my expectations are realistic going into it.
