Anyone else encounter this? When I play a "High Res Audio" Blueray disc, my UMC1 does some strange stuff. The center channel will drop in and out, the mains are very distorted, and adjusting volume up and down with the remote will cause the mains to cut in and out.

I've run two DTS DH movies with mine so far and they both worked just fine.

I don't recall hearing about problems like this on the forum. Definitely worth a call to Emotiva to try to sort it out.

There is a DTS bug. As per Lonnie, DTS bug in Cirrus code corrected.

the mains are very distorted . Yup, it's horribly distorted and LOUD in all channels IIRC! I gave up bistreaming DTS High Res via my Samsung BD-P1590. It didn't matter what shape it came in.. 5.1, 6.1 or 7.1 ... Different bitrates make no difference at all. DTS High Res is rarely detected in the OSD info. The workaround at the moment is to simply use the Blu-ray players built-in decoders... a pain the butt. ALSO.....Disturbia's (legacy 1.5mbps DTS 6.1 Discrete) = Zero surround. (5.1 nor in 7.1) 6.1 DTS MASTER AUDIO has a bug too... When running 7.1, the back right rear surround "blasts" audio but the left rear is almost nonexistent.... This was playing X-Men: The Last Stand... The back right surround channel is getting 95 percent of the audio instead of 50/50. Edward Sisterhands: ( 4.0 DTS MASTER AUDIO) = Zero surround. Prollx won't even engage! 5.1 surround won't work either, but bass management does. Hellboy II and Shoot 'Em Up's 7.1 DTS MASTER AUDIO only output 5.1 from UMC-1. It is being seen as 5.1 via the OSB pop-up. This may be a disc error? I think remember reading something about this on Blu-ray.com and AVSforum.
