I'm in agreement with coolhands here, it's sort of ridiculous to be that far over. Do you know anyone with a power conditioner that you could borrow just to see if it resolves the issue? Did the electrician check other outlets? Is this pervasive through your house? Could you go to a neighbors and try it there?

Ok got umc back from emo support and still same problem.. Emo techs saying that I am probably not getting a constant 120 in my outlet, since they said they ran it all night with no problems. So, electrician just left my home and told me that im getting a constant 130 instead of 120 and that he suggested for me to get a transformer to keep it at 120. He said that the umc might not like the high 130?(umc does not want to turn on) I would think at 130 the umc will be on roids Anyways he freaking charged me 100 bucks for this great knowledge of his and wanted to know if i wanted a transforme for an additional costr..I told him that I had to come to the emo lounge before vomiting some more money on this nightmare.!! please help..im am lost Well I think I pointed to the voltages at your house the last time you had this problem. The electrician should have fixed the problem for that $100. If every home in your area have to get a transformer to resolve some of their issues, then it is the fault of the electric company. You should not be getting 130. That is too much for most electronics. You may want to check with your local electric company and see if they are sending too much to your location. I understand that some electronic devices are designed to accept 120 to 240. Thanks, well this is odd, I connected the umc to the 30 dollar surge protector I have behind my tv, where everything was connected but the umc and xpa5 and TADA! fixed..So electrician just called me back and said if I wanted to order that transofrmer from him and I told him that I fixed it with my 30$ monster surge and he said that he can check and see if the monster is outputting 120. I told him to go ahead and check it but Im not paying a penny more...he said not to worry..I bet cause he know he feels like a theif! Im worried that this is going to occur again..Im wondering if this surge is a temporary fix, I live in a 12 story condo and im willing to bet every condo has this 130 problem... I turned the umc and it says 115. well, to change the subject. My umc came back loaded with the newer firmware and this center channel loss is anoying.

Yeah I went to the lobby and connected it there and the umc worked perfect..electrician tested the outlet and it was putting out 120..but all my outlets in my condo are putting out 130?

That's really odd. I'd take it to the Condo HOA. It's their job to provide a functional building. I also recommend you flash the latest v6Beta firmware. It will likely resolve some of your annoyances.

Let the condo management fix the problem. They owe it to you including the $100 you paid to the electrician. This may be an isolated issue (your condo) but the other condos may need testing also for proper voltages.

I have windows 7 64, so pray for me Prayers should not be necessary. I am using Win7 Pro x64 on my laptop. I intentionally flashed the UMC-1 out of order yesterday while running virtual machines and posting on the forum. I think that Win7 x64, with the 3.2.2 USBXpress driver is probably one of the more stable platforms to flash from. I even did it with a 10 foot USB cable.
