Now that my UMC might get on the truck this week and we have new FW are there and Setup tips anyone can offer.
Do I need to go purchase a microphone? If so, what type?
(I thought these were included but I reviewed the manual and no mention of a microphone in the contents list.)
What / How should I hook up the triggers to my amps? Should I be concerned about turning them all on at once (2 XPA-1's and one XPA-3 all plugged directly to the wall)?
How long should I plan to get the Processor through the setup?
MAN AM I EXCITED!!!

A microphone comes with the unit. Don't use your own because it won't be calibrated properly. The triggers are easy to set and there is no concern about using them all at once. Just make sure when you do your setup that you tell the UMC-1 to recognize the trigger outputs and switch them on. Otherwise it won't do that and you will think the unit isn't working right even though it is.  |

I've looked in my box and I don't have a microphone??? Then, I notice I don't have an upgrade certificate either! Guess I need to make a call and see what I need to do. From the sounds of it, I may be better off sending my unit back to have the new FW installed and TESTED at Emo so I don't have to worry about any of the problems other are experiencing.
Bummer. :-(

Bummer. :-( The upgrade certificate doesn't come in the box but the microphone should. You're sure it isn't there? (Well I guess it should be pretty easy to find).. It's a disc-shaped object. |
