I am afraid I found a new bug in the new FW version.Direct mode gives you something like Multi Ch Stereo/Party mode when applyed on lossy DTS 5.1 or DTS 6.1 ES.I t gets even worse if you try a DTS ES track,there is voices coming from all directions.
It happens only when bitstreamed from my Oppo.
Her are the dvd's I used
Shoot'em up DTS 6.1ES in Direct or DTS modes sounds like Mch Stereo
Domino,Lord of the Rings EE, Gladiator same as above
I, Robot DTS5.1 in DTS ES mode the result is just about the same
Anyone tried this and have comments?
